Teaching
Dr. Ford teaches core courses in Environmental Sociology, Sociological Theory, and the Sociology of Gender. She has also designed and taught specialized courses in both Sociology and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, such as the Sociology of Love, the Sociology of Climate Change, and Women, Work and Class. Her teaching style is strongly influenced by feminist pedagogy and contemplative pedagogy, both of which encourage students to make use of their embodied experience as a tool for learning.
